Of all the incredible sounds Ev was able to create, I am certain my favorite is unique, yet familiar to anyone who knew Evan well. If you’ve ever told Evan something he just absolutely cannot believe or agree with, I’m sure you have heard his famous sound of astonishment, “WHAAAAAAAAAT???!?” In a pitch that only Evan could achieve to make this sound question every single thing that just came out of your mouth, followed by the ever charming side smile to let you know that although he thinks you’re ridiculous, he appreciates your opinion and still loves you. As a little sister figure in Evan’s life, you can imagine Lexi and I were often greeted with this signature sentiment whenever we would share the latest gossip or come to Evan with inside scoop on our latest upper class man love interest. It was our job to keep him on his toes after all. The best part is this was such a reoccurring sound and interaction in my childhood, that I find my self saying this exact thing, at the exact pitch, to my own children almost daily and every time it happens I smile and know he’s there in my heart everyday. We miss you and love you Ev.
